Good Friday on the bus started very slowly as we are usually out later in the day, yet God chose to open the doors half way up Broadway. The bus became full of young women. We were able to meet practical needs as well as pray for them. At one time, Bill turned around and saw all the women were being prayed for at one time. How awesome to see God's heart for these young women. Please continue to pray for Colleen, Ashley, Amy, Giselle, Toilyn, Jessica, Ali and Kara. Please pray that we will continue to build relationships and trust God to change their hearts. It is our prayer to get our girls off the streets into Christian rehabs. Praise be to God that at the current time there are three girls in treatment; Gillian, Pat and Suzanne. Please keep them in your prayers. Also pray that God would open the right doors for two of our girls. Dana is seven months pregnant and addicted to heroin and crack. Kim, who is five months pregnant and struggles with heroin addiction as well, attended church this past Easter Sunday along with the baby's father. They loved it. Pray they will come back and God would arrest their hearts with the Gospel.
Please pray for Lisa. When we first met Lisa three year's ago, she told us that she was Heidi Klum, the model and that she had been abducted and her children had been taken away from her. Until two weeks ago, we never knew her real name. Normally, she walks down the middle of Broadway talking in a very animated way, rarely acknowledging that we had spoken to her and would never take anything from us. Recently, in the past month, she has started taking food from us and allowing us to pray for her. On Friday, as we prayed in a circle holding hands, she began praying and thanking God for us and His help to her. She has addiction and mental health issues and is currently homeless. Please pray the God will open the door for housing and treatment to help her but more importantly, that God will save her. We are reminded that God can overcome any barrier and break down any wall. Thank you, Lord for that truth! Thank you for your continued prayers for these women loved by their heavenly Father. Pray that we will stay obedient to the call we have been given. We thank God that He would allow us the privilege to touch these women's lives with His love!
