Thanksgiving Dinner Outreach
Seeds of Hope Ministries will once again collect and distribute complete turkey dinners and all of the holiday fixings to needy families in the city of Camden. Last year volunteers met on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and delivered Thanksgiving Dinners to over 200 families.
This year’s turkey delivery day is Saturday, November 2st and you are invited to help! Please read below:
Volunteers will be meeting at The Fellowship House in Camden at 11:30 am to sort collected food items, pack boxes with all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner, pray, worship and make deliveries. Maps will be provided for each delivery.
THERE ARE THREE WAYS YOU CAN HELP THIS YEAR:
- Donate money and we will purchase frozen turkeys (we can hold up to 200+) and other food items for the boxes.
- Bring food items listed below to The Fellowship House on November 21st at 11:30 am. If you have a large quantity of items, we will arrange for pickup.
- Come out and be part of the sorting and delivery team on November 21st at 11:30 am.
Here is what is needed for each meal:
FROZEN TURKEY
Easy general directions for cooking a turkey
Boxes of stuffing mix (Stove Top, etc.)
Fresh potatoes or boxes of instant potatoes for mashed potatoes
Canned gravy (for the mashed potatoes and turkey)
2 Cans of cranberry sauce
Fresh or canned yams
Jar of olives
Pack of biscuits or rolls
Canned vegetables (corn, string beans, peas, spinach, etc)
2 boxed fruit pies
Pack of Napkins
Foil turkey pan
Sturdy box for contents

We desperately need a coordinator for this year's Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Outreach. We collect frozen turkeys, pies and the fixings and we need someone to head this up.

It was a great Thanksgiving Eve on the ministry bus as the SHAN team drove around, picked-up some of the ladies that walk the streets of Broadway, fed them a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner and ministered the Love of Christ to each of them! Thanks to those who cooked, served and loved on these ladies
