Acting on the prompting of the Lord was the best thing Stew and the ministry ever did! Normally our transitional homes are only meant to be "home" for returning ex-offenders for no more than 18 months. About two years ago, Stew became employed by the ministry as its on-site transitional housing manager and wears about a dozen other hats as well.
Stew's most fervent prayer while he was incarcerated was that the Lord would begin to restore his relationships with his children and that he would be a godly example to them and his grandchildren. Suffice it to say that the Lord has been answering that prayer in a big way. His children seek him out for counsel and he regularly has the opportunity to speak into the lives of his grandchildren. But the most awesome evidence of restoration and reconciliation came in September 18th when Stew had the honor and privilege to walk his daughter Paula down the aisle and give her hand in matrimony. Given the life he had led and the things he had done before Christ, this ending is just another example of the Lord's mercy, grace and faithfulness!!!
Stew attends First Nazarene Baptist Church in Camden. Please pray for Stew as he continues his walk with the Lord through this season of his life.
