Well guys, my plan was to have a full page SHAN newsletter update for you.....The Lord has had other plans this last week including His rescue of 19 yr. old Meghan who He brought to our doorstep on Wednesday morning. Did I mention just how awesome God is?  We make plans for our day and God does exactly what He wants when He wants...may we always be sensitive to His direction of our days and time. The Lord is such a loving Heavenly Father.  He puts His precious ones in the right place at just the right time, to set His plans in motion for their good and His glory. 

The Lord has provided us with His help through a resource we never expected. By Thursday morning we were able to get her on subs one so she could begin detoxing...with only a two day supply.  The plan was to return the next day so she would receive what she needed for the weekend. Friday came and after a brief text exchange I never heard from her again. God was still completely in control, although I must confess to you, I wasn't sure that she would be leaving for long term healing and help (love you our WHH family)  I went about the rest of the weekend. On Monday there is knock on my door, and yes, guess who is standing there? Meghan.  Wow,I was blown away. She said she was going and that she was here for one last bag....sad....but God was still in control. She was a little annoyed and after not liking something I had said to her, she decided she didn't want me to take her home. I said ok, ,gave her a bus ticket and prayed. Again, wondering, would she even go home.(great faith right?) She assured me she was going and said she would call me when she got there. I didn't hear anything until this morning, when I received a text from her mother saying they had gotten there around 8 last night. We were at the SHAN prayer meeting at that very time last night again...the power of God's people crying out to Him to do what only He can. I continue to be amazed at how God does what only He can,how he uses simple, faithless people at times to accomplish His work here. Thank you for the way you care, pray and support this vital work here. It is a direct expression of the Father's love for us,and your gratefulness to Him for all He has done and continues to do not only in the lives of the lost, but in our lives as well. We love you guys and thank God for you all. Please continue to pray for Meghan...these next few days and weeks are critical in her journey. Pray that God would give her staying power and that she would find the healing she so desperately needs in her relationship with Him.  Brenda and the SHAN team

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST ABOUT THE STREETS

Please be praying for the protection and safety of our women.Our girls are being,beaten,robbed,and raped regularly on Broadway.They are being targeted in their vulnerable,helpless state and the abuse is increasing.There are 2 known men as we speak that are regularly abusing and violating these girls.Pray that our Metro officers will be able to apprehend these guys and put them away for a long time.The girls are afraid to speak because of the repercussions,so pray for safety and strength and a hedge of protection for these women.They need your prayers!  thank you
