I was reading this morning and thought I would share this with you as a lead in to our SHAN update:

For believers, how wonderful it is that the Holy Spirit fills our hearts and replaces our sinful natures immediately. As humans however, we know that growing holy is a lifelong process. (tell me about it) Nonetheless, a new creature emerges (2Cor5:17), and our former lives and purposes are now extinct. And though our transformation takes our entire lives, it will be done.(Phil.1:6) 

Lord, thank You for assuring my future as a new creation by way of your Son. Thank you for the Hope that sustains us each day, a Hope that will be fully realized in eternity. 

Last Friday,we had the opportunity again to offer the love of Christ and tangible help to the young women we love on Broadway who suffer so in the bondage of their addictions. It was an overwhelming evening marked by several women who defiantly refused help. Needless to say, it gripped the teams hearts in a way that is hard to explain. We had one young woman named Amanda, who is married and has only been on Broadway, accept the offer of help. She was taken to detox and within 24 hours left. She had also been accepted to a long term residential Christian women's discipleship program. Please pray that the seeds that were planted Friday night would begin to sprout Hope in her soul and that she will reach back out for the help and the healing she so desperately needs. We had the opportunity to care for at least 10 different women that evening. Several were taking to the county jail after refusing help. We want to thank God first and foremost for this unique opportunity and the many officers from CC Metro who are allowing us to demonstrate this care. We know that the "one life" matters every time, and that He is able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. Please keep Sara in your prayers. She has been away for almost 10 months and is struggling right now with trusting God's plan for her life. Like so many of us, she has still tried to maintain a connection with her former friends in the world and this has created a division in her heart and mind. We talked and prayed for the strength that only God can provide her as she seeks to end communication with her old life here and continue to follow wholeheartedly on the path that God has laid before her. We know this path is narrow but leads to truly living. She asked that we keep her lifted up and that she would stay put and continue to be equipped for what God has in store for her life in the future.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST ABOUT THE STREETS

Please be praying for the protection and safety of our women.Our girls are being,beaten,robbed,and raped regularly on Broadway.They are being targeted in their vulnerable,helpless state and the abuse is increasing.There are 2 known men as we speak that are regularly abusing and violating these girls.Pray that our Metro officers will be able to apprehend these guys and put them away for a long time.The girls are afraid to speak because of the repercussions,so pray for safety and strength and a hedge of protection for these women.They need your prayers!  thank you
