I was reading Charles Stanley devotional this morning about why God allows evil. If you get a chance, check it out on intouch.org.  5/20 daily devotional. Those of you that have been praying for us and the girls realize that over the last several weeks there has been a real increase in violent attacks on the ladies on the streets. The Saturday between Good Friday and Easter, one of our girls, Stephanie, was murdered and discarded in a field like a piece of trash.

    CCMetro as well as the CCProsecutor's office have been working overtime to apprehend those who did this. Please keep them in prayer as they serve without ceasing and sleep, many days and nights to this end.  I would love to tell you that this person has been caught but to date that hasn't happened. In the midst of all this we have conducted several sweeps with Metro in an effort to not only get the message out but to also offer the women the opportunity to seek treatment.  Please keep Lauren in prayer as she decided two Fridays ago that she wanted help and has been detoxed. Pray that God will open doors she is willing to walk through and that she will continue on her journey of healing and restoration. This past week has brought more violence as we have yet another violent male in his 30's who is raping and robbing our girls. Shannon and Corrine were both violently attacked.  Shannon was hospitalized and released sometime on Saturday.  Please pray as fear is a huge obstacle in the girls telling who did what to them. They fear the repercussion from the street and being labeled snitches. We are very grateful to our victims advocate Megan who has been a steady support in caring for our girls and encouraging them to seek help as well.

     There is no doubt that the days are evil.  Please pray for our continued protection as we seek to love and lead these women to the One who can heal, restore and redeem them.  We are thankful that the Lord is a God of justice and mercy and that His heart breaks at the way these women are being oppressed and exploited.  Not one of these precious gems woke up one morning and thought that living on Broadway and being drug addicted was the thing they had always dreamed of doing.  Bondage 

like that is as close to hell on earth as it gets. We are in a battle.  Please, please, pray for safety and protection and the radical rescuing power of Christ for these precious daughters. We love you guys and thank God for you, Brenda and the SHAN team

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST ABOUT THE STREETS

Please be praying for the protection and safety of our women.Our girls are being,beaten,robbed,and raped regularly on Broadway.They are being targeted in their vulnerable,helpless state and the abuse is increasing.There are 2 known men as we speak that are regularly abusing and violating these girls.Pray that our Metro officers will be able to apprehend these guys and put them away for a long time.The girls are afraid to speak because of the repercussions,so pray for safety and strength and a hedge of protection for these women.They need your prayers!  thank you
