Restoration matters to God. The healing of the heart involves the healing of the past. So God shakes things up! He wants not only your whole heart, He wants your heart whole. Been thinking a lot about how Gods love for us really does shake things up in our lives and ultimately, His desire that we would trust Him completely and live in the reality of who we are as His sons and daughters. Had the opportunity to go to a court appearance with Angelina this SHAN jpg LOGO 4-19-11morning. Bill and I, along with Emily, a staff member from the home were all there. How kind of God to put us together and for Him to be there for each other. Thank you to all of you who have been on this journey with us from day one. We love you and thank God for you more than you could ever know. Today was one of those days when the past rears it's ugly head, and we are faced with the wreckage we caused in our sin. Isn't it awesome that God's love for us provides us with the strength and confidence we need to face these times in the truth of who we are today, not who we used to be.The judge was gracious and gave Angelina favor as she shared how she has been on her journey of redemption and now desires to make restitution for the things she did in her past. Although she was anxious and uncertain early on, we prayed that God would give her peace, in the way that only He can, and that He will continue to make the rough places smooth. Thank you Lord that you never leave us ever, that we can trust you to go before us, and consistent with your will for us, you will do for us what only you can. Please continue to pray for Angelina as she is now working to pay off her fines, and has been accepted to college for next fall. Pray God will direct her steps and that He will continue to show Himself mighty in her life. She is struggling with feeling alone, and has asked that we pray for her. Please pray that God will guard her heart and mind and that she will not allow the enemy to whisper lies to her from her past. Praise God for new life in Christ, and that His definition of us is truly all that matters. Please keep Helena, Sara,Gillian and Mia (2 women we sent away recently who have returned to Camden) in your prayers. We need your prayers as we continue to love on and fight for these precious daughters. We love you guys and thank God for you...
