Pardon the interruption...Her name is Jennifer...

I thought it would be a good idea to share this from last Thursday morning. I hope you are blessed and affected by just how God's love and warmth can draw people.

The doorbell rang at about 7:50 am and on the steps was Jennifer. She was hungry, cold and in search of a pair of boots that she were supposed to have been picked up many days earlier. You know how God loves to interrupt us, right? Just to check out the condition of our hearts!

It was one of those mornings. Let me share with you before I start, that I have missed to many of these opportunities when my schedule was on the table. God help me (us) please to never be too busy to be interrupted by you. Did I mention that the hand doctor It was one of those mornings. Let me share with you before I start, that I have missed to many of these opportunities when my schedule was on the table. God help me (us) please to never be too busy to be interrupted by you. Did I mention that the hand doctor appointment was in 45 minutes and I still wasn't ready. As we talked briefly, Jennifer stopped, with tears in her eyes, looked straight at me and asked, "Does God still love me?" I know it was only the grace of God that kept me from losing it completely in that moment.  It is so unbelievable to me just how far God will go to draw someone in.  She shared how she misses her three children so deeply and how she is so full of guilt and shame, and lacks hope for her future. God's truths of unconditional love and forgiveness kept the tears flowing. Yes, we were late for the doctor's appointment, but God's lavish love and grace were a beautiful balm and salve for her heart that morning. Thank you for how you pray for these precious gems.  Please keep Jennifer lifted up, so that by God's grace, she will experience new life in Him and hope for her future. We love you guys, Brenda

I wanted to leave you with this beauty from a Journey to Easter devotional from Charles Stanley. Grace is counter intuitive, thus confusing. The only answer to spiritual death is spiritual life-not performance. Dead people can neither improve nor perform. That was Jesus' point. God's grace is undeserved, unexpected, and illogical. No one has ever earned it.Not once. Yet,it's offered freely by God. That's why it's so amazing!!!
