"Bless the Lord, O, my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord , O, my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. Who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to,anger and abounding in steadfast love. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him, as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us. As a Father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. "Ps 103:1-6,10-14
This passage of Scripture really says it all. It captured my heart again a few days ago when I read it and really spent some time meditating on its powerful truths. Again, this morning the Lord drew me to it and as I reflected on last nights outreach. God again spoke to my Spirit. This is who He is, this is the One who knows all, sees all, is in charge of everything, and He sees us. I am undone by the fact that our perfect, righteous, spotless King would lay down His life for us, for me, and He is still seeking the lost! Today, this day!
As always,the minute we hit Broadway, God started bringing girls our way. Dana, Heather, Tara, Maria, Tanya, Kimmy, Nicola, Corrine and LaRinne. We had awesome opportunities to care for the girls practically as well as pray and really lift them up to the One who wants to capture their hearts and lives. We finally ran out of everything...food, gloves, hats,y ou name it, but the blessing of sharing His truth and love on a cold night was what was so beautiful. Please continue to pray that God will set these precious daughters free with the truth of His love and the forgiveness found in Him and Him alone. We thank God for your prayers, your love and the practical way you all help us on Broadway to communicate the love of Jesus to these sweet, broken women.
